Had a good first day of work at the new job, maybe this is a good pat on the back.

I started a new job today. People were nice, the trainings are pretty spaced out, environment in general is great.

Project 996 continues to give me some troubles. We have already had some car sharing issues and they are only going to increase once my wife is working, so I’ve been trying to find a few to look at over the next couple of weekends. I posted the other day about turbo beetles, and honestly they are tempting for the price, I have driven a few of the 2.0T cars and enjoyed them and I like the looks. But I noticed this Civic SI today, and while I know this generation of civic si was not particularly loved, it still seems like a good daily driver.

I test drove one of those Si’s before I bought my TSX. I liked it. The engine is essentially the same as the TSX, but the Civic handles better. I simply ended up with the TSX because it made a better daily.

What’s your budget looking like? Around me brand new Honda Accord sport special editions (not sure what that entails) are selling, 6 speed manual and all, for like $5k off sticker. No special things to qualify for either. $20k for a new accord 6MT? Sign me up.

I believe with the next gen being a complete redesign and offering MT across the board. The dealers are making deals on these sitting on the lot.

I was looking more at $10-13 for 2012ish models. That’s a great deal though.

If I could find a manual TSX (in my budget) I’d consider one. I’m goi g to be toting my kid around so something with 4 doors would be nice.

I was very lucky with mine, it was about the same price as this Civic. Or you could hold out for a 4-door Si.

Good point, totally forgot about the redesign.
